The Admin panel
Available onEstimatorBuilder
Your subscription is managed in a separate site, the Admin panel, at admin.smartebuild.com.au. It uses the same email address and password as SmarteBuild itself, but only a user marked User is administrator can sign in — see Adding users for who that should be.
Keeping it separate is deliberate. Everything on it changes what the whole company can do or what the company is charged, so it sits behind the administrator role rather than in a menu every user can see.
What is on it
Section titled “What is on it”| Page | What it is for |
|---|---|
| Subscription | Your plan, whether it is active, when it next renews, and the buttons to subscribe, change plan, update the card or cancel |
| Bills | Every tax invoice, with a link to view or download each one |
| Users | The same user management as in the app, for administrators who prefer to do it here |
| Settings | Company name, ABN, address, GST and margin defaults, your logo, and the bank accounts printed on your claims |
| Manage Companies | For businesses that run more than one entity: add a second company and choose what it shares with the first |
The Subscription page is the one most people come here for, and it is where you land after signing in.
Who bills you
Section titled “Who bills you”Billing is handled by Stripe. When you subscribe, you enter your card on Stripe’s secure page, not on ours, and Stripe charges it each month or year and emails you a tax invoice every time. SmarteBuild never sees or stores your card number. The Admin panel shows you what Stripe knows and hands you across to Stripe’s own page for anything to do with the card itself.
The pages in this section
Section titled “The pages in this section”- Subscribing and changing plan — from the free trial to a paid plan, monthly or annual, and moving between Estimator and Builder.
- Invoices, your card, pausing and cancelling — where the invoices are, what to do when a payment fails, pausing for up to three months, and how cancellation works.
For which modules each plan includes, see What is in each plan.
