AI credits

The AI features in SmarteBuild are paid from your company’s AI credit. You buy it in packs, it is shared by everyone in the company, and each AI job takes a little of it. Nothing else in SmarteBuild uses it, and everything else keeps working when it runs out.
What it pays for
Section titled “What it pays for”- Take-Off: a draft of the whole job from the plans, Measure with AI, Symbols like one on a scanned plan, Let AI pick the rooms, and reading the scale.
- Final check: the AI read of an estimate. The software’s own checks are free.
- Find local businesses: each search.
- Tender quotes: reading a quote and checking quotes.
What a job costs
Section titled “What a job costs”Each job costs twice what the AI service charges SmarteBuild for it. As a guide:

A job that fails costs nothing. Amounts are in Australian dollars, before GST.
Three free drafts
Section titled “Three free drafts”Every company gets 3 whole-job take-off drafts free, once. The AI measuring that finishes the lines of a free draft is free too, as long as it is on the same estimate and within 3 hours of the draft.
Seeing your credit
Section titled “Seeing your credit”Open the apps menu (the grid at the top right of any page) and choose AI credits, next to Scope of Works. It is also in the list down the left of My profile. Everyone in the company can open it.
- AI credit left, and the date it lasts until. The figure turns orange under A$10.
- Used this month.
- Free whole-job take-off drafts left, for example 2 of 3.
- What your credit went on: every job, newest first, with the date, what it was, who ran it and what it cost. Packs you bought show as a plus.
Take-Off, Find local businesses and the tender quote reader also show the credit left beside the button, for example AI credit A$31.40.
Buying credit
Section titled “Buying credit”Only an Administrator can buy credit, in the Admin panel:
- Sign in at admin.smartebuild.com.au and open Subscription.
- On the AI credit card, press Buy A$50.00 of credit.
- Pay on Stripe’s page. The pack is A$50 plus A$5 GST, A$55 in all, paid once by card.
The credit is there as soon as you come back to the Admin panel, and Stripe emails you a tax invoice. Nothing renews by itself: buy another pack when you need one. Buy credit in the AI credits window takes you to the same card.
When it runs low or runs out
Section titled “When it runs low or runs out”When the credit drops under A$10, the person who ran the job gets one email saying so. Pass it on to your administrator.
With no credit left, the AI buttons are greyed out and say why. Everything else carries on as normal, including the software checks in Final check.
How long it lasts
Section titled “How long it lasts”Credit lasts 12 months from the last time any was added. Buying another pack restarts the 12 months for all of it. Credit still unused after that expires.
