Beyond the desktop

SmarteBuild is mostly used at a desk, but not entirely. This section covers the parts that reach outside it.

The mobile app

For site. Documents, purchase orders and tasks, on a phone, so the person on site can look something up without ringing the office.

It is deliberately not the whole system. Estimating happens at a desk; the app covers what you need standing in a half-built house.

Get it: SmarteBuild on Google Play for Android phones and tablets (Australia and New Zealand). The iPhone and iPad version is on its way.

Integrations

Connections to the other systems your business runs on.

Xero takes purchase orders and expenses into your accounting system, with suppliers, jobs and accounts mapped across, so the same invoice is not entered twice.

QuickBooks Online does the same job for builders who use QuickBooks, on the same screen.

Office 365 and Google handle sending — so orders, tenders and claims go out from your own mailbox and land in your own sent items.
